Clear Mountain Provisions was born from time spent wandering quiet trails and resting beneath the hardwoods and pines of the North Appalachians.

 

Nature has always been a place of peace for me—a reminder to slow down, breathe deeper, and pay attention to the little things. But over time, I started to notice changes. Forests were thinning. Trails were washing out. I was working a “normal” 9–5, and I found myself asking: What can I actually do to help?

 

I’ve always been a creative person. Lighting a candle at the end of the day, whether after work or a hike, became a way to ground myself. That small ritual turned into something bigger. I took a love for building things and turned it into a mission to give back.

 

Today, Clear Mountain Provisions exists with a simple purpose: to help people feel closer to nature, protect the places that shaped us, and give back wherever we can. Every product we make reflects that intention. Every candle, every room spray, every choice we make is rooted in care—for the earth, for our community, and for the future we want to help shape.

 

We don’t take shortcuts. We believe the best views are earned by taking the long path. And we’ll always choose what’s right over what’s easy.

Our Story

This journey began in 2020 with a candle idea and a simple goal:
Reconnect a fast-moving, digital world with something slower—something grounded in nature.

 

Clear Mountain Provisions started with a handful of supplies, a kitchen counter in Raleigh, North Carolina, and a deep love for the wild places that had shaped who we are. Over time, and now based in Northern Virginia, this little idea has grown into something much bigger than candles.

 

Late nights pouring wax. Weekends spent sketching ideas and packing boxes. Long hikes that sparked new scent inspirations. Every part of this process has been about more than making a product. It’s been about sharing the feeling we get when we step outside: that deep breath of fresh air, the quiet, the clarity.

 

We’ve built Clear Mountain Provisions around the belief that business can be a force for restoration, that it can support people and the planet, not just profit. We know sustainability isn't the easiest path. It's slower. It's often more expensive. But we believe it's worth it.

 

Today, Clear Mountain Provisions is still guided by that same purpose:
To honor nature, celebrate small adventures, and help others live a little more lightly on this earth.

Coffee's mission is to offer love and hope to those in need through funds from a great cup of coffee. We want to inspire and educate our coffee lovers in ways that enhance their experience with us and encourage them to be an outlet of hope for others. 

We want to create a coffee culture that is built around quality, sociability, and affordability so that everyone can enjoy our product and share in our outreach. Our goal is to continue to grow our business in ways that will allow us to give more, this will include things like scholarships for local graduating seniors, food programs, and much more! We have BIG plans for coffee and appreciate you joining us on this journey!

With every purchase made, we fund reforestation through our partnerships with Eden Reforestation Projects, One Tree Planted, Cool Effect, and more. These efforts go beyond planting trees, they help restore ecosystems, rebuild natural habitats, and provide long-term, meaningful employment to local communities in areas most impacted by deforestation.

 

Since our founding, Clear Mountain Provisions has donated to organizations that align with our values, including:

  • One Tree Planted and Eden Reforestation Project for climate action and biodiversity.
  • Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue for the care and rehoming of vulnerable animals.
  • Samaritan’s Purse for community support and humanitarian relief.

To date, we’ve contributed over $1,000—and we’re just getting started.

This isn’t a marketing line. It’s a reflection of what we believe: that small businesses can and should be part of the solution.
